A Night On The Tiles

A creative writing theatre company ran a drama workshop for Year 9 students to demonstrate how stories can be brought to life.

The Pen-ultimate Theatre Company visited CBA and showed students the art of story-telling and physical theatre, using performance based on multi-media.

Groups of three students then had to tell a story to their peers who had to guess who was telling the truth based on the actors' abilities.

The group later went to watch Pen-ultimate's performance of A Night on the Tiles at Corby's Cube Theatre that evening.

The show was based on some gangsters' Scrabble competition and their bid to win £750,000.

Drama Teacher Vicky Clements said: "The students loved it and they respected the theatre company because of how professional they were.

"It showed them how to represent things physically - it gave them an appreciation of drama and it got them excited about it."
