Starting Learning Early

An AS Level Psychology lesson was a matter of child’s play when an eleven month old baby came in to help students put theory into practice.

Susie Roques and her daughter Emma made a class visit to assist students with the topic of developmental psychology.

The subjects of mother and child bond and attachment were explored as the students put questions to Mrs Roques and observed the relationship between the pair.

Teacher Felicity Cornish, who invited friend Susie into the classroom, said: "This will really help the students to examine the different theories and will be of great help when it comes to their exam."

Mrs Roques said: "Emma is a confident baby and very curious so I knew that she would enjoy the day."

The mother and baby also made a visit to the BTEC Child Development lesson where they assessed her development milestones.
