Dear Parent/Carer

RE: Music Technology Trip to Parlour Studios  

On Thursday 14^th March 2013 the year 9 Music Technology group will have the opportunity to visit Parlour Studios during their normal lesson time.

Parlour Studios are a Kettering-based recording studio offering recording, mixing, mastering and rehearsal services. Students have been learning to produce recordings as part of their Music Technology course, and this is a fantastic opportunity to see how professionals would operate and what equipment they use.

One of the Music Technology course requirements is to investigate different areas of the music industry, and this trip will enable students to do some first-hand research. Students will be given a tour of the studios and they will have the opportunity to ask questions about the facilities and services that the studio provides to its clients.

The students will be transported to the studio and back by minibus and will be back at school in plenty of time to catch the normal bus home. The trip is free of charge.
