Sixth Form Students Celebrate AS Level and BTEC Success

Year 13 and Year 12 students at Corby Business Academy have celebrated their vocational BTEC and AS results.

83 per cent of Year 13 students passed their Level 3 BTEC courses and those who have applied to University have  secured their first choice place or are continuing in their present employment.

Year 12 students also received AS results and, along with their ongoing positive performance in their  BTEC courses, the signs for the future are very encouraging - particularly in the Academy's specialist business-related subjects.

Head of Sixth Form Avril Bartley-Smith said: "I am delighted that all of our Year 13 students are leaving us well placed for the future. I am also pleased to see that a large number of Year 12 students have performed well in many areas and have set solid foundations for some good A level results next year. Well done to both the staff and students who have worked so hard to achieve these promising results."

Year 12 student  Marko Vucenovic said: "I am relieved to get my results, it's been a long wait this summer. My results are far better than I expected, and I'm really looking forward to finishing my A2's this coming year and applying for my university place.''
