Year 7 Meet The Tutor Evening

New parents and students were given a warm welcome last week at the Year 7 Meet the Tutor Evening.

There was an impressive turnout of parents and carers (almost three quarters of students were represented) at the event last Wednesday (September 16).

An official introduction to the Academy from Principal Andrew Campbell and Vice Principal Lorraine Smith was followed by tutor group meetings in the BHE faculty (which is the home base of the Year 7 group) where parents were able to discuss the start of the year with their child's tutor.

Mrs Smith said: "The evening started with an introduction in the small theatre and the parents were told about the brilliant start the Year 7s have made and how very impressed we are with their manners and demeanour.

"Parents then met with the tutors and were able to ask any questions they had about the Academy.

"The feedback was great - we have even heard from one parent who said their child has been enjoying coming to CBA so much that they even wanted to wear their uniform on Saturday!

"We are currently collating the responses and will publish the outcomes shortly."

The event was supported by the Parents in Partnership organisation which provided the teas and coffees.
