Year 6 Open Week

Parents and potential students have been welcomed into the Academy this week as part of the Year 6 Open Week.

A total of 645 people have visited between Monday and Wednesday to the information sessions, talks and tours that have been given by staff and students.

Principal Dr Andrew Campbell said: "It has been wonderful to see so many parents and Year 6 students from all the primary schools in the area. The level of interest in what we are doing at CBA continues to grow - we have had almost 700 visitors this week!

"With that kind of support from our local community there is no doubt that our school is going from strength to strength".

Milford and Tina Small from Gretton (pictured right) came along on Monday evening with their son Archie to have a look around.

Mrs Small said: "This is the first time we have been to the school and it is very impressive. The building has the feeling of a business like feel and it is extremely well presented.

"We are considering two secondary schools for Archie but our first impressions of the Academy have been very good."

Tours will continue today and tomorrow (Friday, October 16) at 10am and at 2pm.

Parents have until November 2 to complete their common preference form and return it to the local authority.

An assessment day for prospective students will be held at the Academy on Saturday, January 16th 2010.
