Students To Create Website For Business Group

Students have been asked to design and create a website for Corby Business Group.

IT Teacher Karl Lomax is leading the Session 3 activity to create a modern website for Corby's leading business group.

Three Key Stage 3 and two Key Stage 4 students will be involved in the project.

CBG committee member and Partner at legal firm Wilson Browne, Ika Casta, came into the Academy yesterday (October 19) to give the web brief to students.

She said: "We need a new website to promote the group and its activities and we thought it would be a great idea to work in partnership with the CBA students to come up with a design and then go on to build it.

"We look forward to seeing their ideas."

As part of the project a new logo for the group will also be created.

The design will start during Term 2 and the website will go live in the New Year.

Mr Lomax said: "At CBA we are giving students the opportunity to learn web development skills, lead in web projects and apply these skills to real world situations."
