Drugs Awareness Evening - January 20th

A drugs awareness evening for parents is being held at CBA later this month.

The Academy's resident PCSO Alex Franklin will be joined by colleague Steve Coles to lead the information evening on Wednesday, January 20th , which follows on from a series of drugs awareness events attended by students in Term 2.

Alex Franklin said: "We received feedback from some parents that they feel that their children are more aware of drugs than they are, so we wanted to hold the session to enlighten parents and provide relevant information.

"The talk will focus on issues such as the types of drugs available, the risks and also what signs to look for if they think their children may have become involved with drugs."

The event is open to all parents and there is no need to book an appointment at the session which starts at 7pm.

There will be a talk by the police officers followed by a question and answer session.
