The student body decided to do something to help the hundreds of thousands of Haitians affected by last month's disaster and organised a series of events to get the money rolling in.
The Sixth Form organised a Fun Run last week to raise funds. Some of the students took the opportunity to remove their business dress and created a stir when walking around the Academy. The winner of the fun run was Chris Forsyth closely followed by Niall Spence.
And the chore of cleaning cars was removed on Friday when the Sixth Form students volunteered in their private study time to wash staff cars with a guarantee of 100 per cent satisfaction or your money back. Luckily no one asked for a refund.
Donation buckets were also put at the Academy entrance on Friday, with many students and staff giving generously.
A raffle was held in the Unit (which raised £77) and the library held a caption competition.
