Students had to complete three tasks, one of which involved the students writing a review of their favourite books.
A display of the books and reviews was set up in the library and proved to be very successful at encouraging other students to borrow books from the display.
Students completed the final challenge by reading poems and inviting staff and students to do the same. All in all I think we achieved our aim of getting people reading.
First prize winners nationally will receive the chance to take part in a real assault course and win books for their school. Winners of the competition will be announced shortly and each student will receive a certificate and badge from the National Literacy Trust.
