Anticipation Growing Ahead Of Awards Night

There is just over a week to go before students find out which award they have picked up at CBA's Annual Achievement Awards.

Those who have been put forward to receive an award at CBA's celebration evening on Tuesday, July 13 should now have received their invitation letter in the post.

The awards ceremony will honour students who have made exceptional contributions to school life and those who have excelled in certain areas.
Students have not been told which award they have been selected for; they have just been invited to the ceremony along with two people they would like to accompany them.

This year's honours include top accolade Student of the Year and the award categories include Science and Technology, Business and Enterprise, Communications and Independent Working.

Business links which have sponsored the award include Prior's Hall, Corby Borough Council, RS Components, Rockingham Speedway, Roquette and Corby Business Group.

Students picking up an award will be given a certificate and a small prize, with the top achievers receiving a trophy.

Vice Principal Sarah Ashby said: "This is the second time we have held the award ceremony and this year even more students will be recognised. We have also introduced some new categories and brought in some new sponsors.

"This is a chance to celebrate the hard work of our students and it promises to be a fantastic night."

The awards ceremony will be held at the Academy and will start at 6.30pm.
