‘Apprentice’ Star Shares Her Expertise with Diploma Students

CBA has drafted in a finalist in the popular television show The Apprentice to develop students’ understanding of business.

A new Diploma in Business, Administration and Finance has been introduced at the Academy to give students the grounding to go onto further education or employment.

So far, one of the highlights of the Year 12 course has been a talk on international business by Claire Young, who reached the final of Alan Sugar's BBC show.

Claire was also the keynote speaker at CBA's recent awards evening and having links with a successful businesswoman has provided students with a vital resource.

The new diploma, which has been three years in the making, is a collaborative course being run at CBA and Lodge Park Technology College.

Over the course of the year, students will take part in a number of activities based in the world of work to offer them a unique learning experience.

At the start of term, the group spent three days taking part in induction challenges aimed at improving their enterprise skills, including team-building activities with the RAF and problem-solving activities with CBA's business faculty.
