Students Pay Tribute to Firefighters Killed in Action

Three CBA students were invited to the national Firefighters Memorial Parade after taking part in a Young Firefighters programme.

Sophie Robinson, Michael Foley and Naomi Ward attended the service of remembrance and wreath-laying at the Church of St Bartholomew in London last month to honour firefighters who have lost their lives throughout the history of the fire service.

The trio, along with students from The Kingswood School and Tresham College, were representing the Young Firefighters scheme in Northamptonshire.

The group stood in a guard of honour as fire service dignitaries and Mayors left the church.

They also joined the parade as it made its way from the church to the Cenotaph, where the names of those who have recently lost their lives were read out.

CBA's PCSO Alex Franklin, who went along with them, said: "They were very proud to have been chosen to go along and represent Young Firefighers nationwide."

Young Firefighters is a weekly project which involves basic fire-fighting training.
