Special Guest For Autumn Leaves Concert

The head pianist for the Royal Ballet will be the special guest at a concert by the Corby Business Academy Concert Band and Choir.

The Autumn Leaves concert, on Wednesday, October 20th, will feature Robert Clark from the Royal Opera House.

Born in Kettering, Robert was awarded a place at the Royal College of Music and later worked as a freelance pianist in venues across the world, including the USA, Canada, Dubai and China, before taking on the role with the Royal Ballet.

CBA's Director of Music, Clive Wears, said: "It's fabulous to have someone like Robert performing here - it gives students something to aspire to.

"It's always good to have professional musicians in and the students will get the chance to ask him how he got to where he is."

The concert, which starts at 7.30pm in the theatre, includes a selection of music from the Lion King and Les Misérables and a trombone solo by Kevin Ogwang.

Tickets are free and are available from Student Reception.
