Learning with Linguascope

CBA students have been discovering a new way to make progress in learning foreign languages.

The Linguascope website includes a wide range of fun activities to help them perfect the four skills of language learning - listening, speaking, reading and writing - in all the topics they study in French lessons.

They can move through three levels of activities as they improve and also discover new languages by playing games in German, Spanish and Italian.

Language Teacher Karen Turney said: "In lessons and after-school sessions we use the site to practise new vocabulary and students enjoy the competitive element of the activities.

"Some Year 9 students have created comic strips using their knowledge of prepositions and GCSE French students are using it to help them prepare for assessments.

"Students for who English is their second language have also found the English section fun and challenging."

To progress through the levels, students can log on to www.linguascope.com at home.
