Busy Open Week At CBA

A flurry of parents and children visited CBA during our Open Week for Year 6, with families keen to find out more about the opportunities on offer here.

Tours by staff and Sixth Formers and a presentation by Principal Andrew Campbell were held throughout last week and there was a steady stream of visitors.

Dr Campbell told them: "From the day students join us in Year 7 we want to encourage each one of them to think of themselves as young adults and to take on responsibility. We want them to become more independent and seize every opportunity.

"School is for rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. This is a fantastic school and it's getting better every day."

Families looked around each faculty and were shown the cutting-edge facilities and technology available to students to assist their learning.

Parent Dave Tolchard was impressed with what he saw, saying: "I like the lay-out and how new it is.

"I think a new and modern environment like this is conducive to learning, and it's more open."

Those wishing to apply to CBA must complete two forms.

The first is the Local Authority Common Preference Form, which must be returned to the Authority by November 1st 2010.
