Rugby Development Programme

Professional rugby coaches have been running sessions at CBA to encourage take-up of the sport.

Rugby Football Union (RFU) community coaches Ollie Joisce and Jon Perks have been working with Year 7 students on Thursdays and Fridays to develop their skills.
The six-week programme is part of a drive by the School Sports Partnership, RFU and CBA to develop the interest in rugby at Key Stage Three.
The programme consists of skill and game practices which enable the students to have a better understanding of rugby.
Schools Sports Co-ordinator Phil Woolley said: "The students really enjoyed their training session with Ollie, progressing from non-contact to contact games. All students were enjoying getting involved and developing their skills, which was great to see."
The Rugby development programme will run alongside the Session 4 club on Thursday evenings. Anyone looking to develop their skills or understanding of the game should contact Miss Dunstone or Mr Segalini.
