Pudsey Spotted At CBA

Students showed their support for Children in Need by organising activities to raise the incredible amount of just under £2,000.

The Academy's Charity Committee took the initiative and held a cake sale, Name the Bear, a sweepstake, raffle and face painting.

Year 11 student Nicole Parsons, who leads the Charity Committee, was the main organiser of the day's events.

Students were also invited to come in mufti and there were some creative costumes, including a life-size Pudsey Bear (otherwise known as Sixth Former Christina Moore).

Chrissie managed to get the outfit from Stamford after finding that the Pudsey costumes in Corby had sold out.

She and Head Girl Alice Hill, who helped Chrissie negotiate round the Academy through the day, were invited to Oakley Vale Primary School to entertain the children.

Chrissie said: "People were surprised to see me dressed as Pudsey and when I took the head off to eat my breakfast, they realised it was me.

"It wasn't too bad to wear all day because it wasn't as hot as I thought it was going to be but it was a relief to take it off at the end of the day."
