Maths Whizz Makes World Top 100 In Online Challenge
Claire Cottingham and the rest of her year group have been using the online games to further their understanding of the subject, with help from Maths Teacher Maxwell Sam.
She even logged on during her spare time and as well as making the international Top 100, she was ranked 36th in the UK Top 100 students in November.
Claire said she now spends a couple of hours a week trying to climb up the scoreboard.
She said: "It's fun and I'm always trying to get a better score."
Mr Sam said the website helps to consolidate what students learn in the classroom, saying: "It's led to them getting a full grasp of maths and the play helps them to learn.
"There's a lot of competition in the class."
