Uganda Quiz Raises £570

Around 120 people took part in a quiz organised by the Sixth Formers who are off to Uganda this year.

The Ex-Servicemen's Club was packed for the event on Friday (March 11th) with support from staff and students.

For the second year running, the winning team was PNS (some of the triumphant team are pictured here).

Sixth Formers Connor Wilson, Chrissie Moore and Lauren Dunn organised the quiz, with Connor proving to be entertaining as the compère.

Chrissie said: "We couldn't have asked for more support and everyone was asking when we're doing another one so we're hoping to do a race night next.

"We had certificates for the most competitive and things like that - there was a really good atmosphere."

Assistant Vice Principal Kirsty Farrar added: "Thanks to everyone who came and supported the quiz."

The trio have raised £950 since January and are well on track to raise the £4,000 they need for the trip to Uganda in October.

They will be raffling off Easter eggs later this term and will be making cards for Mother's Day.
