Students Design Website For Corby Learning Partnership

CBA students have been called in to help an education service refresh its website.

Corby Learning Partnership's website will have a face-lift in the next few weeks as students in Karl Lomax's web design club

The partnership wanted to update what it currently offers and have a more modern look.

CLP Project and Development Officer Rebecca Bishop said: "We met up with Principal Andrew Campbell in the summer break and mentioned that we wanted to give our current website a new look and he said he thought some students could help, and that he would look into it.

"It is great to be able to work with Corby students on this - as this is what the partnership is about.

"We are impressed with the ideas that have come forward so far and are really looking forward to seeing the finished product."

CLP works with the public, private and voluntary sectors in the town to raise children's levels of aspiration and attainment.

It works with all the schools in Corby and also supports families within the town. It also runs a town wide reading and literacy project.

Mr Lomax, who helped a team of students design and build from scratch a website for Corby Business Group, said: "This is a great challenge for our students and it is good for them to work on real projects as it gives a feeling of the working world."

The new website will be launched before the end of this term.
