Students Dig Deep For Children In Need
More than £1200 has been raised for Children In Need after Friday’s academy fundraiser.
The newly created Senior Student Team did a great job in making sure a serious amount of cash was collected for the national fundraiser.
There were a number of activities taking place throughout the day and a staff versus sixth form football tournament will finish off activities today (Monday, November 21st).
Sixth Form student Morium Atkar dressed as Pudsey and gave out sponsored hugs.
She said: "The highlight of the day was seeing younger students delight at receiving a hug from Pudsey.
"It was very tiring because the costume was really hot and I was kept very busy but it was worth it."
A small proportion of the funds will be used to buy books to send over to the Discovery Centre in Uganda.
