Mathletics Proving a Success

A new craze has hit the MAIT department, as a learning resource has gone down a storm with students from all years.

The Mathletics programme was introduced to students this term and already it is proving to be a firm favourite – with students even using time outside of lessons to brush up on their maths!

The internet based programme allows the students to test themselves or they can log in and take on students from around the world.

Year 8 student Adam Wilson said: “Maths is sometimes boring but we have found a way to make it so much more fun.

“You can play against any one in the world and if you’re lucky you might play against someone you know.

“As well as playing maths you have your own character, which when you win the match you get ten credits. The credits go towards your character’s cloths and new body futures.”
