Talented Pair Excelling at Languages

Two students who are excelling in languages will be sitting GCSE’s in Dutch and Spanish shortly.

Andrew Turney, who joined Year 8 recently, is working very hard at preparing himself for his Dutch GSCE’s exam.

Andrew is in a handful of students in England who will be doing the GCSE, so this is a great achievement.

The student attended a British school in Holland, in Voorschoten and this is where he learnt his Dutch. Leendert van den Berg, our senior science technician, has also been helping Andrew practise his vocabulary.

Year 11 student Daniel Buckland will be our first student to take a GCSE in Spanish. Daniel has lived in Xixona, Spain for one and a half years where he picked up the language.

Daniel has been working with Miss Becret to gain much needed oral practice before the exams.
