Amy's Library Committee Appointment

The Academy’s award winning librarian has been selected to represent the county and sit on a prestigious committee.

Amy McKay has been selected to represent Northamptonshire on the East Midlands Youth Libraries Group committee, which is a division of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals for librarians working with children and young adults in both public and school libraries.

Tasks will involve attending meetings throughout the region, deciding on and organising regular training sessions and helping to select the East Midlands nominations for the annual prestigious Carnegie awards.

Amy said: “I’m honoured and very pleased to have been selected and look forward to working with colleagues around the region to encourage the love of reading (and therefore improve the life chances) of young people.”
