Accelerated Reader is a programme that encourages children to read and assesses their understanding through online quizzes.
Students are given a book to read - appropriate to their individual level - and then complete an online quiz about what they have read.
The benefit of Accelerated Reading is that it:

• Provides a personalised reading programme for each student based on their reading ability
• Assesses reading ability using four types of quizzes: Reading Practice, Vocabulary Practice, Literacy Skills, and Textbook Quizzes
• Encourages group and independent reading
