In 2010, Rachel McCallister from the English department led a six-day literacy project to improve the skills of selected CBA pupils.

The project used creative media to explore literacy in all its form including visual and oral. Students used storytelling, drama/theatre, music, visual arts and digital media to explore literacy.

One aim of the project was to ensure that young people had an understanding of the 'bigger picture' of learning.
