News from the Music Department - A Summer Soirée
Corby Business Academy hosted its first ever outdoor concert at the Priors Hall Amphitheatre on Wednesday 25th June 2025.
Called ‘A Summer Soiree’, the event featured over 42 students from the Academy’s music department and included a variety of solos, duets, and ensembles.
The concert was attended by an enthusiastic audience filled with supportive parents as well as students and staff from the academy.
The programme included several popular songs from widely celebrated bands such as The Beatles, ABBA, and Village People. The event also featured the debut of a new band called ‘SEEEMS that Way’, formed by six of our students from Year 10.
The Director of Music, Mr Clive Wears, said: “It is always exciting to see our students in their element at our concerts because of all the hard work they put in to make these occasions so memorable. The support and encouragement we have received from all the parents and the teachers of these students has been instrumental to their success. So, we are always grateful for all their efforts in making our students the musicians they aspire to be.”
