Grace and Her Dad Take on Tough Mudder for Cancer Research, Raising Over £1,490

Year 12 student Grace recently teamed up with her dad to take on the challenge of Tough Mudder — all in support of Cancer Research UK. Their efforts were not only physically demanding but incredibly impactful, raising an impressive £1,494.34 for the charity.

Tough Mudder is no ordinary race. Known for its gruelling obstacle courses and muddy terrain, the event is a test of endurance, strength and resilience, qualities that Grace and her dad showed in abundance throughout the day.

As part of her fundraising, Grace also organised a bake sale at the Academy, rallying support from fellow students and staff. The bake sale alone raised £126.47, with delicious treats and generous donations contributing to the final total.

The Academy is incredibly proud of Grace's commitment, compassion, and determination. Her fundraising efforts are a fantastic example of what can be achieved through teamwork, initiative, and a strong sense of purpose.

Well done, Grace, and congratulations to both you and your dad for making such a meaningful impact!
