The Northamptonshire Police County Challenge is organised every year across the county and is open to all schools. This year’s theme was raising awareness of violence against women and girls. PCSO Steve Coles from Northants police visited the Academy and introduced the challenge in an assembly for our Year 8 students.  All year 8 took part in an enrichment day and then in their PSHE lessons prepared for a Dragon’s Den style competition after working on their idea in small groups.

The winning group was taken to Northamptonshire Police Headquarters (Northampton) and had to present their idea to another Dragon’s Den jury. After the presentation they spent the rest of the day being immersed and educated in all the emergency services available at Northants. Their presentation was flawless and their idea well received. We are hoping they could make it to the finals.
