A group of students from Corby Business Academy recently took part in Kettering Science Academy’s Battle of the Bands.
A group of students from Key Stage 3 are once again, taking part in the Carnegie Shadowing scheme this year. The scheme allows the students to ‘shadow’ the judging process of the CILIP Book Awards as part of the reading for pleasure initiative.
Miss Chapman ran the hottest London Marathon on record for Asthma UK, a charity close to her heart. She completed the marathon in 6hrs 13mins and raised a total of £2141 for the charity.
The band has been selected to perform at the finals by the judges of the regional competition, held at Northampton School for Girls in March. The group will perform alongside a very select few of the country’s top musicians, at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall in July.
CBA held an operating theatre workshop attended by more than 50 aspiring medics.
Chris Lapsley is looking forward to taking up his new role as Trust senior catering manager, heading up the kitchens across all ten of our schools. He plans to standardise food handling and preparation techniques, suppliers, ingredients, menus and portion control so that everyone will have the same quality and quantity of food, regardless of their location.
