Author Visit: Award-Winning Novelist Elle McNicoll

Some of our Year 9 and 10 Students had the pleasure of attending an event with the acclaimed author Elle McNicoll this week. During her visit, Elle shared her insights into her own school experiences, her path to becoming a renowned author, and her role as a producer for the BBC TV adaptation of her book - ‘It’s a Kind of Spark’.
After her presentation, students enjoyed a Q&A session with Elle and had the opportunity to purchase one of her new books that they could have signed. Elle was brilliant and spent a lot of time with the students, answering all their burning questions.
Mrs. Keelan remarked, “It was fantastic to have Elle visit us today. All the students who attended were incredibly enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed their conversations with Elle. Meeting authors in person is wonderful for encouraging a love of reading and today’s visit allowed our students to connect with someone they might not typically encounter. Many students found Elle’s stories from her school days relatable and realised that, with determination, they too can achieve success.”
