One of our Young Enterprise companies will attend a number of trade fairs this term.
Happy Hands UK, which is made up of students from Unit, will be selling a range of new products, including adult aprons and shopping list jotters as well as its ever popular chalkboards, teacup pincushions, candles and cake stands.
Its first appearance will be at the Vintage and Homemade Christmas Fayre at The Ritz in Station Road, Desborough, this weekend.
Teacher Nikki Clark, who will help man the stall with Happy Hands UK Business Advisor Janet Kemm, of RS Components, said: “This will be our first sale of the year and we are really looking forward to it.
“Our students have produced a number of new lines, including adult aprons made from ekocloth which consists of 65% recycled polyester and 34% cotton so it is kind to the environment.
“They have accessorized the aprons with front pockets and handmade flowers. We’re also planning to produce children’s aprons soon.
“The students have also covered our new shopping list jotters with Christmas and contemporary designs.”
The fayre at The Ritz will take place from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 8th November.
There will be 30 exhibitors at the event and refreshments will be available. Admission is free.
The company’s next appearance will be at the trade fair at Corby Cube between 11am and 2pm on Wednesday 12th November where the students will meet the Mayor of Corby.
It will also host the Unit Christmas Enterprise Event between 11.30am and 1pm on Wednesday 3rd December.
