Anyone looking for the perfect stocking filler this Christmas has been offered some handy suggestions by our librarians.

Anyone looking for the perfect stocking filler this Christmas has been offered some handy suggestions by our librarians.

Our Library team has produced a Top 10 list of the best books to buy this year.

Librarian Amy McKay said: “Books are a great stocking filler and giving them as presents at Christmas time encourages people to keep reading during the school holidays.

“We’ve come up with a list of books which we think will make great presents.

“It includes the Guiness Book of World Records which has been a favourite for many years and is popular even with people who aren’t keen readers because you can dip into it to new books such as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul.”
