Our young entrepreneurs made hundreds of pounds from selling a range of handmade goods at our latest Enterprise Sale.
The event was held in the Academy’s Central Mall last week and attracted a range of visitors, including Corby Mayor Cllr Anthony Dady.
The majority of the students who ran the sale were from Unit Provision but a number of mainstream Sixth Formers also ran stalls, including representatives from our Young Enterprise companies, inscentive and Tea Time Aromas.
Unit Provision Director Claire Robinson said: “This was one of our best sales yet and there was a really vibrant atmosphere throughout the event.
“Our Happy Hands UK Young Enterprise company sold its products and we also had a range of other products made by our students on offer, including candy canes, sweets, handmade papier mache bowls filled with pot pourri, strawberry plants from our garden and jewellery.”
Stalwart CBA supporter Jean Leighton also donated an amazing selection of knitted gifts for the sale.
Teacher Caren Brown added: “The students were fantastic. The sale supports students’ social skills and use of money. They worked very hard to prepare for the sale.”
The proceeds from the sale will be divided between our Young Enterprise companies, school projects, enrichment activities and access of life skills activities in the community.
