Two Year 7 students have received cinema tickets and free popcorn for winning our Library’s Induction Challenge.

Lily Kiernan and Dominika Raszpla won the prize after successfully completing a range of tasks that showed they could use the Library proficiently.

Librarian Amy McKay said: “We begin every year with an induction session for our new Year 7 students which shows them how to use the Library.

“We then set them a range of challenges which will show if they have become proficient users.”

The challenges include using the Dewey Decimal System and the online Library Catalogue, taking accelerated reader quizzes, writing online book reviews and attending after school clubs in the Library.
