A Rugby Club will be launched in Session 4 next term due to popular demand.
The Active department has been inundated with requests from students who are keen to play rugby over the summer.
The club will be open to boys and girls in all years and will run on Tuesdays until 4.45pm on the Academy’s astro turf pitch.
It will be led by Active teachers Phil Woolley and Natasha Dunstone.
Miss Dunstone said: “Lots of students have asked us about playing rugby and we thought this club would be a good way to maintain the high levels of interest over the summer in preparation for the start of the new season in September.
“The club will be open to everyone from students who have played rugby before to those who have never even seen a rugby ball before.”
Anyone who wants to take part should turn up to the first session on the first Tuesday after the May half term holiday.
Students must bring along their astro turf trainers to the sessions.
