Our young thespians have taken part in a special workshop at The Core theatre ahead of their appearance at the Shakespeare Schools Festival.

Our students have been rehearsing hard for their performance of Hamlet during Session 4 and were given the opportunity to take part in a one-off workshop at the Corby theatre.

The experience gave them the chance to become familiar with performing on a professional stage and to work on the technical aspects of their show.

CBA English Teacher and Production Director Hayley Johnston said: “The students are really committed to the show and they turn up every week without fail.

“Visiting the theatre gave them the chance to perform on the stage and it helped them to polish up some scenes and sort out the technical aspects of the show such as the lights and sound.

“During the workshop they also had the opportunity to perform in front of a group of students from Montsaye Academy which made the whole experience seem more real.

“Having the chance to perform Shakespeare onstage has definitely helped their understanding of the play and will aid their studies at school.”

Our students will perform Hamlet at The Core on Tuesday 3^rd November 2015.
