Basketballers win district title
Our brilliant young basketballers have won the district round of the Sainsbury’s School Games Year 7 Girls Basketball competition.
Our brilliant young basketballers have won the district round of the Sainsbury's School Games Year 7 Girls Basketball competition.
Our squad won all its matches in the contest and will go forward to represent Corby and Kettering in the county final of the tournament later this month.
The team is coached by our sports teachers Natasha Barstow and James Aston.
Mrs Barstow said: “Our girls worked really well together.
“We are very excited that they have made it through to the county final and we have high hopes for their future.
“We will be working with them during Session 4 on Wednesdays to help them get ready for the final.”
Students who want to get involved in any of our school teams that are taking part in the Sainsbury’s School Games can attend our Sainsbury’s School Games Night on Wednesdays from 3pm to 5pm.
Staff and students are also invited to take part in our Sports Night in the Sport Hall on Mondays between 3.30pm and 5pm.
