Our brilliant athletes missed out on the top spot at the latest Brooke Weston Trust Year 8 Sports Festival by only one point.
Despite narrowly missing out on the overall first place we put in strong performances across the festival and won the Girls and Boys Handball competitions, came joint first with Kettering Science Academy in the Dodgeball tournament and we came second in Orienteering.
Under the Trust’s Core Values we were presented with two awards for Excellence for our successes in Handball and the Teamwork award for our performance in Orienteering.
CBA Director of PE Amy Harris said: “About 160 students from across the Trust took part in the festival and we were honoured to host the event for the second time.
“All our students turned up to all our training sessions and they did very well at the festival. We are very proud of them.
“We would like to thank all the schools who attended and the Young Leaders who helped to run the event.”
The festival was won by the team from Kettering Science Academy.
