Our Academy is taking part in a series of exciting events to celebrate World Book Day.
Last week nearly 50 of our students joined students across the country when they competed in the Bumper Book Quiz World Record attempt and a group of our Unit students met high profile authors at the Biggest Book Show on Earth roadshow in Coventry.
Tomorrow (Thursday) our Library will give away World Book Day vouchers and 400 World Book Day books and host a competition.
Throughout the course of the day students will also read Anthony Horowitz’s short story The Hitchhiker.
CBA Librarian Amy McKay said: “Our celebrations for World Book Day began last week and we are really looking forward to the big day tomorrow.
“There will be lots going on throughout the day and we will find out whether the Bumper Book Quiz World Record attempt that we took part In was successful.
“We will also give away book vouchers and books and run our Book Face competition which will challenge students to recognize more than 30 staff members who are hiding their faces behind book covers.
“We had a great response to the competition from staff and there will be prizes available for the winners.
“We have also taken Anthony Horowitz’s The Hitchhiker and divided it into three sections which students will read throughout the day.”
Following the World Record attempt last week our Library has launched a weekly quiz which will be available from the Library.
