Year 13 students Michael Siscar and Stirling Horslen visited the Fitzwilliam Museum for a workshop with their fellow A Level Art, Craft and Design students and were so impressed that they arranged a second visit themselves.
Michael, who wants to become an illustrator, said: “I was keen to look at the Armoury and the new exhibitions and the modern art exhibition.
“I’m really eager to make lots of drawings at the exhibitions that I go to.
“I enjoy going to the Fitzwilliam Museum because it has fantastic resources and exhibitions that I am interested in.
“It inspires me and gives me lots of ideas for my artwork.”
Stirling added: “When we first visited the museum the staff told us about its Source programme during the holidays for students who are getting ready for exams.
“There is a great range of resources at the museum.”
