Parents Book Club was a success

The first meeting of our new Parents Book Club was a big success.

The first meeting of our new Parents Book Club was a big success.

More than half a dozen people took part in the club which is designed to give parents the chance to engage with the books their children enjoy.

The group discussed ‘Spot the Difference’ by Juno Dawson and asked our librarians about our Library.

CBA Librarian Amy McKay (pictured) said: “It was a lovely, relaxed evening.

“We talked about ‘Spot the Difference’ and about what we are doing in the Library and the author visits we have had at CBA.

“A lot of the parents said they wished they could meet the authors who have been here and they appreciated how rare it was for schools to have so many fantastic visitors.

“We are really pleased with how the first meeting went and we are already looking forward to the next one.

“All parents are welcome to come along to the group and they can bring their children too.”

The club meets once a term and at the next meeting the group will discuss ‘Life on the Refrigerator Door’ by Alice Kuipers.

The meeting will take place at 6pm on Tuesday 5th July in the CBA Library.
