In the past few weeks Year 8 student Kieran Weston has won two Rose awards at competitions in Kirby Muxloe and Telford after achieving scores of more than 800 at both contests.

Kieran, 13, (pictured) has been training with Corby Archers for the past 18 months and shoots with a recurve bow.

He said: “I had never won a Rose award before and now I’ve won two in the past couple of weeks.

“These are my best results so far and I’ve definitely noticed that I have been improving over the past 18 months.

“I really enjoy going to competitions and I would love to compete at the Olympics one day.”
