Sports Day introduces students to exciting new activities

Students tried out a variety of alternative sports at our second major Sports Day of the year.

Year 9 and 10 students competed in benchball, handball, capture the flag, noughts and crosses and ball over the rope during yesterday’s exciting contest.

The event followed another Sports Day which we staged for our Year 7 and 8 students earlier this term.

CBA Director of PE Amy Harris said: “The activities we chose were all inclusive sports because we wanted all our students to be able to take part in the competitions, including those who aren’t necessarily athletic.

“It was a great way to celebrate our sporting achievements and the students’ rapport and well-being.

“The event was also designed to teach the students the importance of being polite and playing fairly.

“All the students did fantastically well and I would like to thank all the staff members who supported the event.”

A traditional Sports Day will be held for Brooke Weston Trust schools at Rockingham Triangle next year.
