Music teacher Lucy Wass has organised several projects this year to help strengthen the connections between the Academy and other schools across the Brooke Weston Trust. The classes give students an idea of what music lessons will be like at Secondary school.
Students from Gretton Primary Academy visited CBA for the first session. They learnt how music is created using technology and had the chance to use the school’s suite of Mac computers to create some of their own compositions.
Music Teacher, Lucy Wass said ‘The session was really good, all the year 6 students were very excited and seemed to really enjoy themselves.
‘I hope this event will help to strengthen the links between our cluster of schools. It was a really good opportunity for the students to see the sort of thing they will learn in music at secondary school.’
Gretton Primary Academy will be visiting CBA again in the new year to look at how music technology can be used to create their own film music.
