The Academy will be taking a group of 30 students to the official Bloomsbury Harry Potter Book Night. The event that is themed ‘The Professors of Hogwarts’ will be held at the Northampton Guildhall.

Head Librarian Miss Amy McKay said ‘Normally we throw our own Harry Potter party and Christina converts the library into Hogwarts. This year Bloomsbury decided to hold their official party outside of London and we are very excited to be invited to the official party. Having the opportunity to take students to something like this is amazing.’

As spaces are limited, any students wishing to attend the event must complete a quiz from the library and return it by Monday 23rd January. Scores will then be counted and if there is a high level of interest, names of the highest scoring students will be pulled out of a hat.

Miss McKay said ‘We understand that not all students will be able to attend so we are hoping to hold another event later in the year for Harry Potter’s 20th Birthday.

The Harry Potter Night is a public event that will take place on 2nd February from 6-8pm. All ages are welcome to attend what promised to be a fun-filled evening of Harry Potter quizzes, surprises and giveaways. Tickets are £2 per person and include refreshments. Teams of 4-6 are recommended. Buy your tickets now from www.watersones.com/events

Participants are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite Hogwarts Professor, in wizarding robes, Harry potter fancy dress or your best Muggle attire!
