Books for Keeps is the UK’s leading, independent children’s book magazine. Most schools and librarians rely on it for up to date quality information.
Head Librarian Miss Amy McKay said ‘The Academy were asked if we would like to feature in the magazine. We received a lot of interest from the students who were asked to produce a small paragraph reviewing their favourite book.
‘One of our students called Elaine wrote about a new book called Wing Jones. The author Katherine Weber got in touch with us via twitter to say how much the review meant to her and how please she was.
‘It was a lovely experience and something nice for the students to write a review for something so substantial.’
