CBA hold their first GCSE success fair

The event was organised to provide support to parents and students in the run up the Year 11 GCSE exams.

Throughout the evening speeches were given from the Head of School, Nicola Treacy and guest speaker Kevin Heynes, who gave an entertaining and thought provoking presentation on time management and memory technique. There was also additional information about PiXL Apps, GCSEpod, exam papers, careers, stress management and health and revision guides were available to purchase.

Head of school Nicola Treacy said: ‘It was privileged to be able to run our first GCSE Success fair at Corby Business Academy.

‘The evening recognised and strengthened the partnership between the school, students and parents that is so important for a student to reach their true potential. It provided an opportunity for us to share with parents the key messages we are giving to students in preparing for their exams, as well as equip them with lots of resources.

‘We are delighted that so many students and parents were able to join us and we are sure that those who attended will be more equipped to prepare for the “Road to Success”, their final GCSE year.’

One student commented ‘Kevin’s presentation was amazing’.

Another said the presentation was ‘very useful and I will definitely use it’.
