RS components bring business to life for CBA students
A group of our Year 12 students, who have signed up to the RS Mentoring Scheme were recently invited to take part in a tour of RS Components.
The company are the world’s largest distributor of electronics and maintenance products and have 500,000 products in stock globally. During their time at the company, the students learnt about the company's history and branding, looked at a range of popular products the company sells and received a tour of the goods out warehouse where 40,000 products are distributed daily. The students gained an insight into the layout of the department and its operations.
The trip also provided the students with an opportunity to meet their mentors. Mentors introduced themselves and the students found out who they have been paired with based on their area of interest within the company, which included IT, accountancy and marketing.
